Mean = average. To find the average you need to add all the numbers then divide the sum by how many numbers their are.

I’m this case their are 15 numbers

So you would divide the sun by 15
It would look like this

? / 15 = ?

The answer is 41.5333
The 3 goes on forever I’m pretty sure so put a line over the top.

Answer

Step-by-step explanation

Given:

8, 40, 50, 85, 1, 5, 46, 65, 41, 13, 34, 67, 53, 71, 44

To determine the mean for the given list of numbers, we note first that the mean is the same as the average value in a data set. We add up all the data values to get the sum and divide the sum by the count of the number of values.

We can use the formula:

Mean = Sum of the terms/Number of terms

where:

Sum of the terms = 8+40+50+85+1+5+46+65+41+13+34+67+53+71+44=623

Number of terms = 15

So,

\begin{gathered} Mean=(623)/(15) \\ Calculate \\ Mean=41.533 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the mean is 41.533.
