Since the distance around, or circumference, is 9, 622 ft. you need to use the formula for circumference to find the answer.
So...
9,622=
\pi×diameter
9,622÷
\pi = diameter
diameter = 3062.77772486 feet

Okay, we need to use the circumference formula. It's C = 2 pi r.
We rearrange it to isolate r. r = c/2pi
r = 9,622/2pi
r = 1532.12
Diameter is twice radius, so
1532.12 x 2 = 3064 feet.
