9 x 2.25= 20.25

20.25 is the amount that Javier earned.

Molly sold 5 pieces of pie for $4.15 .

5 x 4.15 = 20.75.

$20.75 is the amount Molly earned.

20.75 - 20.25= .50.

Molly earned more.
