A spinner has five sections, labeled A, B, C, D, and E. The spinner is spun 84 times, and the results are recorded in the table.

Outcome Number of times outcome occurred
A 14
B 20
C 18
D 15
E 17

What is the experimental probability of the spinner’s landing on A?

Round to the nearest percent, if necessary.

17% because you would do the number of times it landed on section a (14) over the total times spun (84) which gives you 16.6666 (16 2/3) which would round up to 17%. Hope this helps!

Answer:

the experimental probability of the spinner’s landing on A is:

17%

Explanation:

We are given that:

A spinner has five sections, labeled A, B, C, D, and E. The spinner is spun 84 times, and the results are recorded in the table.

Outcome Number of times outcome occurred

A 14

B 20

C 18

D 15

E 17

We are asked to find the experimental probability of the spinner’s landing on A

P(landing A)=no. of times outcome A has occurred/total number of outcomes

= 14/84

= 1/6

= 100/6%

= 16.66%

≈ 17%
