Ball believed that the U.S is justified in fighting in Vietnam because of preventing communism to spread to other nations. Also claims we are fighting for peace and freedom.

Ball was a U.S. government official and lawyer who born in 1909 and died in 1994.

As secretary of state of United State of America in the administration of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.

He objected to increasing U.S. troops involvement in Vietnam and warned both presidents that U.S could not win a guerrilla war.

By the other hand he arguments against the proposed combat role of troops in Vietnam.

I think that the question is in negative form.
