Answer: the length of the original rectangle iS 150 meters

Explanation:

Step 1

let the Original width be represented as x

and The original length of a rectangle which is 5 times its width be 5x

The new dimension will now be

width = x+10 and

length= 5x-3

STEP 2

We Know that Perimeter of a rectangle = 2L+ 2W = 2(L+W)

therefore

2 X ( X+ 10+ 5X-3)=374

2( 6X-7) = 374

12x-14 = 374

12X = 360

X= 360/ 12

X= 30 meters----- Width

So the length = 5x= 5x 30 = 150meters

the length of the original rectangle iS 150 meters and width, 30meters
