the scale factor is what u multiply the first image by to get the second image. So by dividing the second image by the first image will give u the scale factor.

6 / 1.5 = 4....so there is a scale factor of 4 because 1.5 * 4 = 6

Answer:

The scale factor is equal to
4

Explanation:

we know that

The scale factor is equal to divide the corresponding side of the resulting triangle by the corresponding side of the first triangle

Let

z----> the scale factor

x------> the corresponding side of the resulting triangle

y-----> the corresponding side of the first triangle

so

z=(x)/(y)

we have

x=6\ units

y=1.5\ units

substitute

z=(6)/(1.5)=4

4 > 1 -------> is an enlargement
