The hens at Mr. Colston's Egg Farm laid 9,663 eggs last month. Mr. Colston put 4 dozen eggs in each packing crate. How many eggs did Mr. Colston have left after he filled as many crates as possible? Explain your answer please.

One thing is that 1 dozen is 12 so 12x4=48

12*4=48 eggs per crate
9663/48=201 crates
201*48=9648 eggs in the crates
9663-9648=15 eggs left over
