An addition sentence is just addition.
1 3/4 + 1 1/3 + 1 3/4 = ?
7/4 + 7/4 + 4/3
First find the lowest common denominator.
21/12 + 21/12 + 16/12
= 58/12 = 4 10/12 =
4 5/6
