Answer: A = 18 sq m

Explanation:

The area of trapezoid is given by :-

\text{Area}=(1)/(2)*(a+b)h, where and b are the opposite parallel sides and h is the height of the trapezoid.

From the picture, a=8 m, b= 4 m and h=3 m

Now, The area of trapezoid is given by :-

\text{Area}=(1)/(2)*(8+4)3\\\Rightarrow\text{Area =}(1)/(2)(12)*3\\\Rightarrow\ \text{Area}=18\ m^2

Hence, the area of trapezoid A= 18 sq m.
