-1/2 - 6/5x = 4/7
- 6/5x = 4/7 + 1/2
- 6/5x = 4*2/7*2 + 1*7/2*7
- 6/5x = 8/14 + 7/14
- 6/5x = 15/14
x =
( (15)/(14))/( (-6)/(5))

So x = 15/14 * (-5/6) = - 75/83 = - 25/28.

Therefore x = - 25/28

Hope this helps !

-1/2 - 6x/5= 4/7
Take like terms on one side
-1/2-4/7=6x/5
Solve LHS by taking lcm 14
(-1×7-4×2) /14 = 6x/5
(-7-8)/14 = 6x/5
-15/14 = 6x/5
-15×5/14×6 =x
So x=-25/28
