if the angle is s its complement is 90 - x and its supplement is 180-x
so we have:-
180 - x = 3(90-x)
180 - x = 270 - 3x
3x - x = 270-180
2x = 90
x = 45

45 degrees

Answer:

Measure of the angle is 45°.

Explanation:

Let the measurement of an angle = x

Supplement of the angle x will be = (180° - x)

Complement of the angle x = (90° - x)

Now as per statement given in the question we form the equation.

"Supplement of the angle is three times its complement"

180 - x = 3(90 - x)

180 - x = 270 - 3x

3x - x = 270 - 180 = 90

2x = 90

x = 45°

Therefore measure of the angle will be 45°.
