The Aztec pyramids were temples for religious services to the gods of their religion. Also, they were a visible proof of the Aztec's power.

The pyramids were central to the
civilization's religion. Also the pyramids held housed temples and religious sacrifice were made there. Human sacrifice were the most common type of sacrifice.
