Samuel F.B. Morse
Samuel Morse created the Morse Code which is a system of tapping used to transmit information over telegraph lines. The series of taps translated to letters which would be coded and transcribed to form memos on the receiving side of the communication.
Morse Code was an accepted international coding system to communicate. The coded communication continued to be used even after telegraphs became obsolete. The code was transmitted over radio lines and was used in wars to transmit information overseas during World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam War. It is only recently that Morse Code has disappeared from usage through the country.
