Since long and short are alternate,
Two long run days: long + short + long
Therefore, Total distance= 15 + 8.5 + 15= 38.5

Two short run days: short + long + short
Therefore, Total distance= 8.5 + 15 + 8.5= 32

Difference= (38.5-32)x1000= 6500 metres
