for f(x)=ax²+bx+c
thex value of the veretx and the axis of symmetry is -b/2a

given
f(x)=-5x²+0x+1
-b/2a=-0/(2*-5)=0

the x value of vertex is 0, also x=0 is the axis of symmetry

to find y value, evaluate f(0)
f(0)=-5(0)²+1
f(0)=0+1
f(0)=1

the axis of symmetry is x=0
the vertex is (0,1)
