With the Tsar Nicholas II in charge of Russia in the early 1900s, working conditions were terrible & led to over a million workers going on strikes & marches in St. Petersburg demanding more freedoms, better working conditions, & elected legislators. ( I literally learned this last night, so this answer is straight from my notebook lol)
