1 yard = 3 feet
3 feet times 2 yards
Equals 6 feet
1 foot equals 12 inches
12x6 is 72 inches
Pe ling needs 72 inches

she needs 2 yds.....1 yd = 36 inches, so 2 yds = 36 * 2 = 72 inches
she has 3 ft.....1 ft = 12 inches, so 3 ft = 12 * 3 = 36 inches
so she needs : 72 - 36 = 36 inches
