Answer: y=39

Explanation:

From the given picture, In parallelogram UVWX,

UV=7, WX=7

VW=13

UX=
(1)/(3)y

We know that the opposite sides of a parallelogram are always equal.

So for the given parallelogram UVWX,

UV=WX=7

and UX=VW

\Rightarrow(1)/(3)y=13

To solve for y, multiply 13 on the both sides , we get

y=13*3\\\\\Rightarrow\ y=39

Hence, the value of y = 39
