Explanation:

in the given parallelogram given angles are ∠D = (3x+6)° and ∠A = 42°

By the properties of a parallelogram we know

∠C = ∠A (Opposite angles)

And ∠A + ∠D = 180° (consecutive angles are supplementary)

Therefore 3x + 6 + 42 = 180

3x + 48 = 180

3x = 180 - 48 = 132

x = 132/3 = 44°

Therefore x = 44° is the answer.
