If the area of the rectangle shown is 150 square feet, we can use the equation 2x2 - 5x = 150 to find its dimensions. If the solution to the equation is x = 10, what are the dimensions of the rectangle?

The answer is 10 ft and 15 ft.

The area of the rectangle (A) is the product of its length (l) and width (w):
A = l * w

A = 150 ft²

2x² - 5x = 150
x * 2x - x * 5 = 150
x(2x - 5) = 150

So, x is one side, and 2x - 5 is another side.
Therefore, one side will be: 10
and another side will be; 2 * 10 - 5 = 20 - 5 = 15

Dimensions of the rectangle are 10 ft and 15 ft.
