2+6+8+12+12=40
40 divided by 5=8

6+2+0+4+4=16

16 divided by 5=3.2

MAD=3.2

Answer:

Mean Absolute Deviation is 3.2

Explanation:

Given Data Set: 2 , 6 8 , 12 , 12

We have to find Mean Absolute Deviation.

Mean\:Deviation=(\sum\left|x-\mu\right|)/(N)

First we find, Mean of given data set

Mean,
\mu =
(2+6+8+12+12)/(5)=(40)/(5)=8

Mean\:Deviation=(\sum\left|x-8\right|)/(5)

=(\left|2-8\right|+\left|6-8\right|+\left|8-8\right|\left|12-8\right|+\left|12-8\right|)/(5)=(6+2+0+4+4)/(5)=(16)/(5)=3.2

Therefore, Mean Absolute Deviation is 3.2
