No because in a couple of years America would annex Texas and boundary lines would be confused leading to America accidentally invading Mexico then getting in the Mexican War and taking Mexicos land, California etc.

No, because it would lead to the Mexican-American War. And the U.S. would gain Texas as a result of the war.
