The black bear would not become extinct- it lives in a big area, so a loss of one place would not drive the whole species extinct.
It would also not become a predator - it already is a predator (it's omnivorous - it eats both animals and plants)
The best answer is that it would move away in the search of food and shelter - it's easier than adapting.
