It should be Hypothalamus because the pituitary gland rests just under that.

The correct answer is option C

Damage to the hypothalamus of the brain will result in secretion of more growth hormone from the pituitary gland.

The condition in which the the pituitary gland produces more growth hormone and over production of this hormone results in sudden increase in height of the man is called as Acromegaly.
