A plant manager needs 75 sq. yds. of fabric and the fabric is only 32 in. wide. How many linear feet must she make to produce 75 sq. yds.?

Using the basic formula, we can just plug in the numbers.


l= (a)/(w)

a=75
We'll change 32 inches to yards.

w= (32)/(36) =0.89
Now plug the given information into the formula...

l-(75)/(0.89)
