A line segment has endpoints at (1, 3) and (3, 1) if the line segment is translated 2 unit up and 2 units to the right what are the new coordinates of the second point?

In this problem

The rule of the translation is

(x,y) ------> (x+2, y+2)

the second point has coordinates (3,1)

so

Applying the rule of the translation

(3,1) ------> (3+2, 1+2)

the new coordinates of second point are (5,3)
