Triangles are one of the many basic shapes in the mathematical world, they are polygons and they have the least amount of sides possible (3). No matter what your triangle looks like (,Equilateral, Isosceles, Scalene, etc) when you add up all 3 angles, it will always equal 180. Triangles are so powerful in the mathematic world, they have their own subject. trigonometry is the study of triangles, their angles and sides in relation to every day life.

All triangles have to have angles that add up to 180 degrees inside them. Right triangles will have a 90 degree angle and a hypotenuse that is longer than both of the legs. An isosceles triangles has two legs that are the same length. An equilateral triangle has all three legs the same length and all three angles are 60 degrees. A scalene triangle has all three legs and angles different measure.
