What is the difference between (-10)² & -10²? What are the values for each expression?

Answer:

(-10)² = 100

-10² = -100

Difference = 200

Explanation:

For the individual expressions;

(-10)² = -10 * -10

(-10)² = +100

For -10²

-10² = -(10*10)

-10² = -100

Taking the difference;

(-10)² - (-10²) = 100 - (-100)

(-10)² - (-10²) = 100 + 100

(-10)² - (-10²) = 200

Hence the difference is 200
