x=8 because when you put it into the graphing calculator thats when they intersect

To find the X intercept plug in a zero for the Y then solve for X.
y = 7x + 8
0 = 7x +8
Subtract 8 from both sides
-8 = 7x
Divide both sides by 7
-8/7 =x
