Yes she can.

2/3 * 2 = 4/3

That is 1 1/3. We can already tell she can but just to prove it...

1/3 * 4 = 4/12

3 * 3/4 = 9/12

We have 1 and 4/12. She has 5/12 left over of Fabric.

Hope this helps!

Answer:

Yes, she can make 2 scarves of length
(2)/(3) yards.

Explanation:

Jessica used
(2)/(3) yard of fabric to make a scarf.

Now she has a fabric of length
1(3)/(4) yards =
(7)/(4) yards.

We have to find whether she can make 2 scarves or not.

(2)/(3) yards fabric is used to make scarf = 1

∴ 1 yard fabric is used to make scarf =
(1)/((2)/(3)) =
(3)/(2)

(7)/(4) yard fabric is used to make scarf =
(3)/(2) ×
(7)/(4)

(21)/(8)
2(5)/(8)

Now we can say that she can make 2 scarves of length
(2)/(3) yards.
