Can anyone help me.

question 1:
what powers did the Rowlatt bills give to the British government

question 2:
why were the Indians so upset by the passage of these bills

1. Allowed some political cases to be tried without a jury, and permitted people to be locked up without trial.

2. This gave the police enormous powers, and were generally felt to be unfair.

3.Satyagraha is non-violent protest, while Harthal is strikes in workplaces.

4. I guess they must have got on all right, but the main thing was that they shared ideas and were able to work together.
