the function of the nerve cells would be to send your brain a signal that you are either being touched or touching something. ex: you are touching something hot. ex: someone is poking you

Answer:

to transfer any touch to the brain

Step-by-step explanation:

the nerves in your body are responsible for sending signals to the brain so it can decipher what you are touching and how to react. Ex: when you touch something very hot, the nerves send the signal to the brain, then the brain knows it something very hot, then sends a signal to the body part that touched that super hot thing and is like "GET OFF THAT! IT'S GOING TO HURT YOU IF YOU KEEP TOUCHING THAT" have a great day/night and good luck!
