Equation

\begin{gathered} 2x+2y=16 \\ 2x+3y=14 \\ \end{gathered}

Let's multiply -1 by Eq 1

\begin{gathered} -2x-2y=-16 \\ 2x+3y=14 \\ 2x-2x+3y-2y=-16+14 \\ y=-2 \end{gathered}

Now for x

\begin{gathered} 2x+2y=16 \\ x=(16-2y)/(2) \\ x=(16-2\cdot(-2))/(2) \\ x=(16+4)/(2) \\ x=(20)/(2) \\ x=10 \end{gathered}

The answer would be (10, -2)
