The answer is y=1/2x + 7.

The plot is (-2,2), so what it actually is, is (x,y) so you always have the same slope when lines are parallel. So you just need to solve for the y-intercept. so you substitute -2 in for x and you get the y-intercept! Hope this helps!

The answer is y= 1/2x+3

The gradient stays the same because it is parallel therefore you write y=1/2x+c

Now to find c
You substitute the you substitute x and y in your equation using the plot(-2,2)

So it will be like this

2= 1/2 (-2) + c
2= -1 + c
2+1= c
3=c

So now you know the c

the final equation you have to write is y= 1/2x+3
