A patient is scheduled to receive 750 millimeters of blood over the course of 4.5 hours. There are 15 drops in 1 milliliter. The nurse is supposed to find the correct rate, in drops per minute, of the transfusion so that the patient’s circulatory system is not over-or-under taxed. The nurse makes the following calculation:750/4.5h x 15/1=2500
