If the discriminant is greater than zero then there are 2 solutions
If it is equal to zero then 1 solution
if it is less than zero then there are no real solutions (just 2 imaginary solutions)

If the discriminant is ZERO there is ONE solution;
C) the graph must touch the x-axis one time.
