First let's find the area of the rectangles. So 12 x 9 is 81 cm^2. Now we have to find the height and base of the triangle to find the area and add it to the area of the rectangle. So 15-9, since 15 extends all the way is 6. Now since there are 3 3cms covering the base of the triangle,we subtract it by 12, to find the base. So 3+3=6, 12-6=6. So our base is 6. Now we do A=BH1/2. So 6 x 12 is 72, and 72 x 1/2 is 72/2 which is 36. So the area of the triangle will be 36 cm^2. Now we add the areas. 36+81 is 117. So our final answer will be 117cm^2.

Wait what how is that incorrect.
Lol

Real answer:117cm^2.

Triangle
a = 1/2 * b * h = 1/2 * 6 * 6 = 18
Rectangle
a = l * w = 9 * 12 = 108

Add together 108 + 18 = 126 cm^2
