A plane cuts through a cone perpendicular to the base of the cone. What shape is formed by this intersection?

A triangle, because if you can visualize it, perpendicular to the base would create a PLUS sign. ( + ) and cutting the cone from the bottom up would create a shape from the INSIDE that is a triangle.
