Can someone help me with a couple biology questions?

1. Divide the cell cycle into two main portions, and tell in general what is happening in these two portions.
2. Name and define the two events that take place when a cell divides.

1. outer cell: Controls what enters the cell.
2. inner cell. takes care of the cells bodily functions.
Prophase: Cell doubles the genes inside the nucleus
Metaphase: Cell moves genetic pairs to opposite sides
