set each equal since both equal y

x+1=y=3x-2
x+1=3x-2
minus x both sides
1=2x-2
add 2 both sides
3=2x
divide by 2
3/2=x
sub back

y=x+1
y=3/2+1
y=3/2+2/2
y=5/2

the best aproximation is
x=3/2
y=5/2
or the point (3/2,5/2)
in decimal
(1.5,2.5)

Answer with Explanation:

The given system of equations are

y=x+1------(1)

y = 3 x -2--------(2)

Substituting the value of y from equation 1 in equation 2

→x +1= 3 x -2

→x-3 x =-2 -1

→ -2 x= -3

x=(3)/(2)

x=1.5

Substituting the value of, x in equation 1

y=(3)/(2)+1\\\\y=(5)/(2)

y=2.5

Ordered Pair (x,y)=(1.5, 2.5)

⇒The given options are

(0.45, 0.88)

(0.88, 0.65)

(0.88, 1.1)

(1.3, 0.88)

None of the Options are best Approximation of calculated Ordered Pair (x,y)=(1.5, 2.5).
