Answer:

Scots- Irish migrated to America to get away from the British rule which they hated very much. Plus, they were tired of the high rents, crop failures and needed to escape from religious persecution. They migrated to America for the first time in the 1600s through the Irish linen trade and continued to migrate 1800s. Some came to America to start a new life, brought lands and settled in New England and Carolinas and Georgia.
