Given the hypotenuse is 16
√(3) and this is a 30-60-90 triangle.

y is opposite the 30 do divide the hypotenuse by 2 = 8
√(3)

x is opposite the 60 so take the side opposite the 30 and multiply it by
√(3) to give 8 * 3 = 24
