What aspect of ip addresses makes it necessary to have one address per network interface, rather than just one per host?

An IP address comes from the router and used by one computer host to access the internet. This can only secure only one two-way communication between the computer and the router. Thus, having the same IP address on two hosts can cause inaccessibility in one of the networks.
I hope this helped you.
