to explain this, angular momentum is used. angular momentum ( L ) is equal to inertia times the angular velocity (w). since the inertia is directly proportional to mass, so if the mass will decrease suddenly then the angular velocity will increase. w = L / i
where i = mr^2
m is the mass
w = L / mr^2
w and m are inversely proportional. when m decreases w increases
