A box is filled with 220 cubes with a side length of 1/2 unit. What is the volume of the box in cubic units?

We can solve first the volume for the 220 cubes on which the formula for the volume of a cube is V=a². Then, we have the length of the side which is equivalent to 0.5 unit. The solution for volume is shown below:
V=a³=0.5³=3.375
Then, we can proceed with the volume of the box on which the formula is equivalent to V=l*w*h.
Since we assumed that the 220 cubes fully occupied the whole box, then the solution for the volume of the box is shown below:
V=220*3.375
V=742.5 cubic units
