fisrt solve the volume of the cube
v = e^3
where e is the side length or edge
v = ( 0.5 ) ^ 3
v = 0.125 cubic unit
so the volume of the box
V = vn
where v is the volume of the cube
n is the number of cubes
V = ( 0.125 ) ( 220 )
V = 27.5 cubic units
