What is 3 1/3 - 1 2/3 with showing the work

The previous helper was correct.
Another way to do this (which I think is faster) would be to convert both 3 1/3 and 1 2/3 into improper fractions: 10/3 and 5/3.

Then find (10/3) - (5/3).
