You are paid $9.25/hr at your part-time job. You work for 10 hr/wk. You are considering changing jobs so you can work 15 hr/wk, but the pay is $7.15/hr with tips that average $3.00/hr. How much more per week can you make by switching jobs?

Answer:

Hence, we will get $ 59.75 more in the new job in one week.

Explanation:

You are paid $9.25/hr at your part-time job.

You work for 10 hr/wk.

so, the amount he gets in 1 week=$ (9.25×10)=$ 92.5

You are considering changing jobs so you can work 15 hr/wk, but the pay is $7.15/hr with tips that average $3.00/hr.

so, the amount he gets in his new job in 1 week is:

(7.15×15)+(3×15)

=107.25+45

=$ 152.25

Hence, the difference in amount is:

152.25-92.5

=$ 59.75

Hence, we will get $ 59.75 more in the new job in one week.
