"A Stone I Died" is a poem that was written by Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi. In this poem, the author mentioned that he died as a stone but lived again as a plant, and when he died as a plant, he lived again as an animal, and dying from being an animal, he was born as a man. Therefore, the speaker has gain all forms except for none of the above. He was a stone, an plant, an animal and lastly, a man.
